A tribute to Juvenal Sanso at Galerie Joaquin Podium

Juvenal Sanso’s works are featured in “Felicitations,” which opens on Nov. 26 at the main activity center, second floor of The Podium. This exhibit, organized by Galerie Joaquin Podium, is in celebration of Sanso’s inclusion in the 20th anniversary auction by Sotheby’s Southeast Asian art in Singapore. The show is also in celebration of the artist’s 76th birthday.

Sanso won the prestigious Rothschild Prize in 1957, and was named Artist of the Year in 1964 by the Cleveland Museum of Art, an honor also given to Salvador Dali and Henri Matisse. Sanso’s works are included in the collections of top museums in the world such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of New York, the Smithsonian Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the San Francisco Museum, the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Musee d’Art Moderne of Paris, and the Rosenwald National Gallery of Washington, among others.

Twenty-four works will come from collectors while the rest will come from the gallery.
