ALLIANCE FRANCAISE DE MANILLE PRESENTS "VOYAGES"

Alliance Française de Manille proudly brings together three Spanish artists in a captivating exhibition entitled “Voyages”.

“Voyages” assembles the works of three artists of very different personalities: the lively raconteur Juvenal Sansó, the calm and elegant Betsy Westendorp, and the restless and ebullient César Caballero. Together they take us with them on their many travels all over the world, to re-visit well-loved and familiar places.

After Sansó’s last show at AFM “Ode to Brittany” in September 2008, he comes back to the Total Gallery with vintage pieces dating from the 1950’s and 60’s depicting scenes from his extensive travels in France, Spain, and Asia. An added treat is a series of spontaneous but masterful drawings of the ati-atihan festival in Cebu. Westendorp focuses on beautiful landscapes that reflect her attachment to and love for the Spanish countryside: La Mancha, Hondarrubia, Guadalupe and Guipúzcoa. Caballero manifests his passionate and restlessly imaginative nature in the dynamic, vividly colorful scenes of his extensive travels in Spain, France, and the Philippines.

The artists’ reception will be held at the Total Gallery of the Alliance Française de Manille, on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm, and the exhibit runs until June 28, 2012. For more details about the exhibit, visit the AFM website at www.alliance.ph.
